1. BAJUS Live Rates & Purity Standards

All gold pricing calculated on GoldHaat.com dynamically syncs with the daily rates declared by the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS). The gold purity standards supported on our platform strictly follow official hallmark metrics:

22 Karat (916)

91.6% Gold Purity

Hallmarked standard for traditional & bridal ornaments.

21 Karat (875)

87.5% Gold Purity

Durable gold purity for everyday bangles & chains.

18 Karat (750)

75.0% Gold Purity

Ideal for diamond-set & modern lightweight jewellery.

2. Making Charges & Government VAT

The total order calculation consists of three transparent components: (1) Gross Gold Weight Value according to BAJUS rate, (2) Showroom Making Charge (মজুরি), and (3) Mandatory Government 5% VAT under NBR guidelines.

📌 Non-Refundable Nature of Making Charges & VAT:

Making charges and government VAT cover artisan labor and tax obligations. Once an order is crafted or collected, making charges and VAT are non-refundable during subsequent exchange or buyback.

3. Booking Deposit & Price Lock Guarantee

Gold prices fluctuate daily based on global market & BAJUS updates. To protect buyers from price surges, GoldHaat provides a Rate Lock Guarantee:

  • Price Lock Window: By paying the specified booking deposit (typically 10-20% or flat booking amount), the BAJUS gold rate on your order is locked for up to 7 calendar days.
  • Price Fluctuations: Even if market gold rates increase during this 7-day window, you will pay the locked lower rate at the time of pickup.

4. Showroom Pickup & OTP Verification

For Showroom Pickup orders, customers must visit the selected verified showroom within the designated pickup timeframe:

🔐 Security Handover Requirement:

You MUST present the 4-digit unique Pickup OTP sent to your registered phone number. Showroom merchants are authorized to release gold ornaments ONLY after validating this OTP on their Merchant App portal.

5. BAJUS Standard Gold Exchange Policy (10% - 15% Deduction)

If a customer wishes to exchange a previously purchased hallmarked ornament for a new design, the transaction is governed by official BAJUS trade exchange rules:

BAJUS Exchange Rule Formula:
Net Gold Purity Weight × Current BAJUS Live Rate - (10% to 15% Standard BAJUS Deduction)
  • Original purchase invoice and intact hallmarked ornament must be presented.
  • Stone weights (diamonds, pearls, cubic zirconia) and making charges are excluded prior to calculation.

6. BAJUS Standard Cash Buyback & Refund Policy (20% Deduction)

If a customer chooses to sell back hallmarked gold ornaments for direct cash refund, the transaction follows official BAJUS buyback standards:

BAJUS Cash Buyback Deduction Formula:
Net Gold Weight Value at Current BAJUS Rate - 20% Standard BAJUS Cash Buyback Deduction

Cash refunds are disbursed via bank transfer, MFS, or instant cash at the issuing showroom following purity re-verification on touchstone/density scale.

7. Merchant Verification & Hallmarking Guarantee

GoldHaat strictly onboard verified jewelers holding valid Trade Licenses and official BAJUS membership registration. Every ornament listed guarantees laser-etched karat hallmarking (22K 916 / 21K 875 / 18K 750).
